Nicole Kidman - Keith Urban, Divorce Finalized After 19 Years of Marriage... Custody Granted to Kidman

Australian Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman (58) and country singer Keith Urban (58) have officially concluded their 19-year marriage.

Judge Stephanie Williams of the Nashville court in Tennessee announced the divorce decision on the 6th (local time), according to AP News. Judge Williams confirmed that both parties had amicably agreed on property division and child custody, and approved the divorce. The judge stated that "there are irreconcilable differences that prevent both parties from continuing their marital life."

Kidman and Urban did not appear in court on that day.

Kidman filed for divorce against Urban in September of last year, citing "irreconcilable differences and difficulties in the marital relationship."

The news of their separation was unexpected for fans, but it was understood that discussions regarding child custody and property division had already been completed at the time of the filing. Kidman will have primary custody of their two daughters born from their marriage, and both parties have agreed not to demand child support or other financial obligations from each other, opting for an almost equal distribution of their joint assets.

Kidman married Hollywood star Tom Cruise at the age of 23 in 1990 but divorced in 2001. She met Urban, who is also from Australia, at the 'G'DAY USA Gala' cultural event held in the U.S. in 2005, and successfully remarried in June 2006, about a year later. This was Urban's first marriage.

Kidman has two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (15), with Urban. From her previous marriage to Cruise, she adopted a daughter, Isabella (33), and a son, Connor (30).

Kidman, who established herself as a leading Hollywood actress by winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003 for the film 〈The Hours〉, continues to be active, having recently completed filming for the sequel to 〈Practical Magic〉.
