Netflix's original cooking entertainment 〈Culinary Class Wars 2〉 production company has announced strong legal action against malicious rumors and defamatory comments targeting participating chefs.

The production company 'Studio Slam' stated on its official YouTube channel on the 6th, "Recently, there have been cases of malicious comments targeting specific participating chefs and sending defamatory messages to personal SNS accounts."

The production team emphasized, "We are continuously collecting evidence regarding defamatory posts and SNS messages about specific chefs, and we plan to take strong legal action against confirmed authors of malicious posts and messages without any leniency."

This action is analyzed to be related to the recent indiscriminate spread of 'Chinese rumors' surrounding judge Chef Ahn Seong-jae online.

Several posts containing baseless claims that Chef Ahn Seong-jae is of Chinese descent or associated with the Communist Party have been published in some online communities. This false information has also been used as a basis for the speculation that Chef Ahn gives particularly high evaluations to Chinese cuisine.

The production team pointed out, "Such actions seriously damage the honor of chefs who have dedicated their lives to cooking and leave deep wounds that are difficult to heal for ordinary participants.
