SBS announced that it will air a memorial special documentary highlighting the 69-year acting life of national actor Ahn Seong-ki, titled 〈The Person Who Was Always There, Actor Ahn Seong-ki〉, on the 9th at 8:50 PM.

Ahn Seong-ki has left behind over 170 works during his 69 years, navigating through the turbulent history of Korean cinema from the dark days of the 1980s to the present, where K-content has a global influence.

This documentary captures the true essence of 'Human Ahn Seong-ki', including the behind-the-scenes stories of his representative works, his dedication to exercising every day for over 30 years for the sake of film, and his commitment to the film industry even behind the scenes, which we were unaware of.

In particular, it will reveal for the first time anecdotes from the filming set of his last starring film 〈Birth〉 (2023). Ahn Seong-ki, who battled blood cancer since 2019, never let go of his passion for acting even after the news of his illness became public in 2022. His professionalism, standing in front of the camera while fighting against illness, moved many.

The narration of the documentary is given by actress Han Ye-ri, who deeply respected the late actor after co-starring in the 2016 film 〈Hunting〉, adding more significance to the project.
