〈38 Task Force: Tokyo Reboot〉 is a film that relocates the 2016 OCN drama 〈38 Task Force〉 to Japan, depicting a thrilling action drama where a tax official and a genius conman team up to collect a large tax from high-profile defaulters. It has confirmed its release in Korea on January 23, along with the poster and trailer.
The trailer begins with the tax official Kumazawa being humiliated by the high-profile defaulter Tachibana, briefly capturing the events that unfold as Kumazawa joins forces with the conman Himuro. Japan's national actor Seiyo Uchino plays the role of Kumazawa, showcasing a wide range of emotions, while Masaki Okada will display Himuro's cunning and brain games on screen.
Proving to be a perfect reboot rather than just a simple remake, 〈38 Task Force: Tokyo Reboot〉 is set to release on January 23.
