Actress Jeon Jong-seo shared her thoughts on participating in a female buddy movie with Han So-hee.
With the movie 〈Project Y〉 set to be released on January 21, Jeon Jong-seo met with Cineplay for a release commemorative interview on the afternoon of the 9th in Jongno-gu. 〈Project Y〉 tells the story of Mi-sun (Han So-hee) and Do-kyung, who live dreaming of a different tomorrow in the midst of a glamorous city, as they steal black money and gold bars on the edge of life. The film stars Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, and others.
The character Do-kyung, played by Jeon Jong-seo, takes a bold choice to steal black money and gold bars, risking everything to seize an opportunity that may never come again alongside Mi-sun in a cliffhanger situation. In the interview, Jeon Jong-seo explained, "There haven't been many buddy movies with actresses of the same age. While previous works were close to solo performances, 〈Project Y〉 is a movie where Do-kyung and Mi-sun run together hand in hand until the end." She added, "I wanted to capture the feeling of Do-kyung and Mi-sun running together like a decalcomania. I hoped it wouldn't be a movie where someone stands out or takes the lead."
Regarding the action scenes with Han So-hee and Lee Jae-kyun in the film, Jeon Jong-seo said, "Han So-hee is not the type to hold back. Also, since 〈Project Y〉 has a lot of practical action, I ended up using my body much more than I expected. Compared to my previous work 〈Call〉, I think the action was more than ten times greater."
The movie 〈Project Y〉 starring Jeon Jong-seo will be released on January 21.
