Chef 'Culinary Monster' Lee Ha-sung shared his thoughts on participating in 〈Black and White Chef 2〉.
On the 14th, Netflix Korea released an interview video with Chef 'Culinary Monster' Lee Ha-sung, a participant in 〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars Season 2〉 (hereafter 〈Black and White Chef 2〉). Chef Lee Ha-sung currently resides in New York and met with Netflix remotely to share behind-the-scenes stories about 〈Black and White Chef 2〉, his recent updates, and personal stories.
On that day, Lee Ha-sung said, "Chef Kim Tae-sung, who appeared in Season 1, is a close friend. He told me that participating in 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 could be a chance for me to gain confidence, and he recommended that I join." He revealed, "I filmed 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 last spring when I was struggling professionally. So I was desperate and earnest. I had been lucky to work in good restaurants, so I thought I could open a restaurant without much difficulty. But the thought that I couldn't do that kept gnawing at me," honestly sharing his feelings before participating.
When asked about the most memorable moment, Lee Ha-sung said, "When I competed against Chef Hudeokjook, the filming time was really long. I thought that when I reach that age as a chef, I would like to be like that in the kitchen. It was so cool," and added, "I almost cried."
Meanwhile, 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 aired its final episode on the 13th.
