'Zootopia 2' Surpasses 'Inside Out 2'... Becomes the Highest-Grossing Animated Film in Hollywood History

〈Zootopia 2〉 has broken the all-time highest-grossing record for Hollywood animation.

According to Box Office Mojo, 〈Zootopia 2〉 surpassed $1.7 billion in global box office revenue by November 18 after its release. This exceeds the all-time highest-grossing record for Hollywood animation, previously held by 〈Inside Out 2〉, which recorded $1.69886 billion worldwide after its release in 2024.

In response, Disney Animation released a celebratory message featuring characters from 〈Inside Out 2〉 congratulating the characters from 〈Zootopia 2〉. Both Pixar Animation Studio, which produced 〈Inside Out 2〉, and Walt Disney Animation, which produced 〈Zootopia 2〉, are subsidiaries of The Walt Disney Company, and they are celebrating their record-breaking achievements.

Currently, 〈Zootopia 2〉 has attracted 8.44 million viewers in South Korea since its release on November 26, making it the highest-grossing film of 2025 in terms of audience numbers by January 18.
