Han So-hee expressed her feelings about coming to the screen with a challenging role.
On January 16, ahead of the release of the film 〈Project Y〉 set for January 21, actress Han So-hee met with Cineplay for a release commemorative interview in Jongno-gu. 〈Project Y〉 tells the story of Mi-sun (Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (Jeon Jong-seo), who live dreaming of a different tomorrow in the midst of a glamorous city, as they steal black money and gold bars at the edge of life.
Mi-sun, played by Han So-hee, is a character who lives fiercely day by day with a modest goal of 'ordinary daily life', and after losing everything due to an unexpected incident, she makes a perfect plan to seize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change her life with her friend Do-kyung.
In the interview, Han So-hee revealed the reason for her challenge in genre films once again. She recalled the moment she was offered 〈Project Y〉 saying, “While choosing my next project, I encountered this film after falling into a mannerism.” She explained, “It was a heavy subject, and I knew there would be risks, but it was a character I wanted to challenge at least once. Also, I felt that if I didn’t do it now, I might never get the chance again.” Regarding her choice to work on multiple genre films after 〈The World of the Married〉, Han So-hee stated, “The reason I chose 〈My Name〉 and others is that I didn’t want to just end my career as an actor with a decent face.”
The film 〈Project Y〉 featuring Han So-hee will be released on January 21.
