From 'Marvel's Director' to 'King of New Orleans'. At 77 years old, Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson teams up with Sylvester Stallone to build a new crime empire for Paramount+.

According to Paramount+ and foreign media on the 20th (Korean time), Samuel L. Jackson has been confirmed to star in the spin-off series 'NOLA King' produced by Taylor Sheridan, which is a spin-off of 'Tulsa King'.

◆ Expanding 'King' Universe from Tulsa to New Orleans...

Jackson recently made a strong impression as Russell Lee Washington Jr. in the newly released season 3 of 'Tulsa King'. In the series, Russell is a character who built a friendship with Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) while serving a 10-year sentence in a federal prison. The spin-off 'NOLA King' depicts the story of Russell, who, inspired by Dwight's success in Tulsa, returns to his hometown of New Orleans (NOLA) after being ordered by a New York crime organization to eliminate Dwight.

The production team stated, "Russell, who returns to his hometown after 40 years, tries to restore family relationships and take control of the city, but the process of becoming a target for both the old bosses from New York and the police will be addressed."

◆ Filming Starts in February... Stallone Also Participates in Production

This project is generating excitement as it involves 'Midas Touch' Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone in production. Paramount Global explained, "We aim to expand the universe into a multi-dimensional family-centered franchise beyond a simple mafia story." The series will begin filming in February 2026, and is expected to be released globally through Paramount+ as early as this fall.

Samuel L. Jackson's influence is not limited to new works.
