The film 〈My Name〉 is a generational mystery drama that depicts the journey of an 18-year-old boy who wants to discard a name that doesn't suit him and a mother who must protect that name, along with the promise hidden behind that name from 50 years ago. Director Jung Ji-young has achieved the remarkable feat of being officially invited to the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival by unraveling the tragic modern history of Jeju 4.3 through the deeply personal and symbolic theme of 'name'. The Berlin Film Festival previously praised the film 〈My Name〉 as "a marvelous work that breaks the silence left by a tragic history, with a meticulously constructed narrative and powerful emotional resonance."

Director Jung Ji-young and actors Yeom Hye-ran and Shin Woo-bin will officially begin their schedule by walking the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival on the 12th. On the 13th, they will attend the 'World Premiere' screening, where 〈My Name〉 will be unveiled to filmmakers from around the world, engaging in a stage greeting and Q & A session to share a warm interaction with local audiences.

In particular, the Berlin schedule for the film 〈My Name〉 is drawing attention as it is not just an attendance at a film festival but also a good news ahead of its domestic release in April. Director Jung Ji-young and the actors plan to illuminate the heavy message contained in the work and the status of Korean cinema through relay interviews with overseas and domestic media. Additionally, they are expected to attend a special screening for Koreans living abroad, providing a warm time of comfort and empathy.

Yeom Hye-ran, who has risen to global stardom through Netflix's 〈The Glory〉 and 〈Mask Girl〉, plays the role of a mother who harbors a 50-year-old secret, promising a powerful performance that starts with gentle ripples and builds into a massive wave. Actor Shin Woo-bin, who plays the role of the 18-year-old boy Yeong-ok, who has a complex about his feminine name, forms a good mother-son relationship with Yeom Hye-ran. Having been selected by Berlin, one of the top three film festivals in the world, for his first leading role, he is set to continue an extraordinary path right from his debut.  The film 〈My Name〉, which will showcase the strength of Korean cinema to the world through its world premiere in Berlin, is set to be released domestically in April, promising unforgettable resonance for Korean audiences.
