The legendary mystery animation that captivated the world, 〈Detective Conan〉's third movie is finally coming to Korean audiences.
The film 〈Detective Conan: The Last Magician of the Century〉 is set to be released in theaters for the first time in Korea this March, as announced along with the main poster.
This release is a 4K remastered version of the 'legendary masterpiece' that caused a sensation by becoming the first in the theatrical series to top the box office upon its release in Japan in 1999. Since it has never been officially released in Korean theaters, it is expected to be a special gift that will quench the fans' thirst.
The movie depicts the fierce battle of wits between Phantom Thief Kid, who is after the last treasure of the Romanov dynasty, 'Memories Egg', and Conan, who is trying to stop him. Notably, this work is a monumental piece where popular characters such as Phantom Thief Kid, Haibara Ai, and Hattori Heiji made their first appearances in the theatrical series. The main poster also features Conan's true form, Shinichi, Ran, and Mori Kogoro, along with these characters, amplifying the anticipation.
The previously released teaser video is also a hot topic. It features the voice of Shin Yong-woo, who plays Phantom Thief Kid in Korea, triggering fans' 'immersion'. Prospective viewers are expressing explosive reactions on social media, saying, "It's not just anything, it's the end of the century, so I have to see it," and "My heart is racing like crazy."
〈Detective Conan: The Last Magician of the Century〉 will be released exclusively in March at CGV.
