The Thrill of Tokyo Dome on Screen… CGV to Live Broadcast All Matches of the National Team for ‘2026 WBC’

The roaring cheers of the baseball stadium and the tense atmosphere of Tokyo Dome will be brought to the theater screen.

CJ CGV announced through a press release on the 25th that it will exclusively live broadcast all matches of the South Korea national team in the ‘2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC)’ starting in March, aiming to vividly convey the excitement of the venue to baseball fans.

The 2026 WBC is the largest international baseball tournament, taking place from March 5 to 18, with a total of 20 countries competing for national honor. South Korea is placed in Group C of the first round along with the Czech Republic, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia, and will play qualifying matches at Tokyo Dome in Japan.

CGV will live broadcast four matches of the first round nationwide, starting with the Czech Republic match on March 5 at 7 PM, followed by the highly anticipated Korea-Japan match on the 7th, the Taiwan match on the 8th, and the Australia match on the 9th. If the national team finishes in the top two of the group and advances to the final round, CGV plans to additionally broadcast all the journey to the finals, capturing the moments of victory with fans.

Tickets for the first round matches will be available sequentially from 4 PM on the 25th through the CGV website and mobile app. This broadcast will take place at major theaters nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall.

Meanwhile, all matches from the opening game to the finals of the ‘2026 WBC’ will be exclusively live streamed on TVING.
