Kang Ho-dong Becomes the Gentle INFP Bookstore Owner... 'Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore' Premieres on March 6 (Friday) on Coupang Play

‘National MC’ Kang Ho-dong returns with his first solo talk show named after himself in 13 years. Coupang Play confirmed the premiere date of the new entertainment program 〈Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore〉 for March 6 and unveiled the main poster and teaser trailer.

〈Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore〉 is a talk show where the bookstore owner ‘Hocrates’ (played by Kang Ho-dong), who has a loud voice but a gentle heart with an INFP personality, unfolds the lives of guests who visit the bookstore and shares sincere stories with them. Kang Ho-dong will invite notable figures from various fields in Korea to the cozy bookstore and engage them with his unique energetic questions to bring out their joyful stories.

In the poster released alongside, Kang Ho-dong is smiling warmly against the backdrop of a cozy bookstore. His curious gaze shining among someone’s life works announces the birth of the ‘lovely philosopher’ Hocrates, unlike anything seen before. The teaser trailer also quotes Socrates’ famous saying, “The doors of the world are always opened first to those who ask questions,” showcasing a unique worldview of being a ‘cosmic being’ that explores humanity, raising expectations.

This program will feature a variety of guests, from top stars to sensational figures who have shaken Korea, each bringing their own ‘life book’ to share. It is anticipated that guests, who have remained unshaken by any sharp questions in the past, will be disarmed by Hocrates’ pure insights and delicate empathy.
