Actress Nana transforms into the key character 'Hwang Jung-won' who reads and moves in the power game in ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 〈Climax〉.
The 〈Climax〉 team revealed two character stills showcasing Hwang Jung-won's contrasting atmosphere today (3rd), raising expectations. 〈Climax〉 is a work that deals with the fierce survival drama of prosecutor Bang Tae-seop (Ju Ji-hoon), who dives into the power cartel to reach the top of Korea, and the characters surrounding him. Nana plays the role of informant Hwang Jung-won, who freely navigates between the political and entertainment worlds, handling information. Hwang Jung-won is a character with a cold survival method that creates decisive moments by floating around rather than standing directly at the center of power.
The released stills highlight Hwang Jung-won's dual charm. In the first still, Hwang Jung-won gazes at documents with a calm yet sharp gaze, revealing the character's inner self that prioritizes judgment over emotion. The following still shows her holding a mobile phone while wearing a hat in the night streets, suggesting that she is the quietest presence moving the game in the familiar city landscape.
Nana is expected to drive the tension of the drama through restrained emotional acting and a chilling charisma in this work. The character Hwang Jung-won, who designs the peak of power and sometimes creates cracks, will likely act as a variable among key figures like Ju Ji-hoon and Ha Ji-won, which will be a point of interest for viewers.
Directed by Lee Ji-won, with Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young joining to enhance the density of the drama, 〈Climax〉 is produced as a total of 10 episodes. 〈Climax〉 will premiere on Monday, March 16, at 10 PM on ENA, and will also be available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.
