Actress Kim Seol-hyun will make a special appearance in JTBC’s new drama 〈Human x Gumiho〉.
〈Human x Gumiho〉 is a mysterious, zero-sum(x) fantasy romantic comedy about a fated encounter between a human who becomes entangled with a spirit-like gumiho that lures and captivates, and the human who pulls supernatural beings into their world—following their collision at the crossroads of destiny. Kim Jeong-sik, director of 〈Strong Woman Do Bong-soon〉, and writer Im Mea-ri, who penned 〈The Apocalypse Came Into My House Through the Front Door〉, joined forces, and actors Jeon Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook were cast as the leads.
In the drama, Kim Seol-hyun plays ‘Yeon-i,’ the head of the Five Star Museum and a beautiful gumiho. Yeon-i is bound by a contractual relationship with the shaman ‘Choi Seok’ (played by Ji Chang-wook), and the story unfolds through their relationship and emotional journey.
So far, Kim Seol-hyun has steadily broadened her range, moving between the big screen, broadcast TV, and OTT platforms. She has appeared in dramas including 〈My Country: The New Age〉, 〈Day and Night〉, 〈Shopping List of a Killer〉, and 〈I Don’t Want to Do Anything〉, as well as films such as 〈Gangnam 1970〉, 〈The Killer’s Memory〉, 〈The Divine Fury〉, and Disney+ series 〈The Lighting Shop〉. Recently, she wrapped filming for Netflix’s new project 〈Slowly, Strongly〉, written by writer No Hee-kyung.
