‘Bloodhounds’ Returns and Reaches No. 2 Globally in the Non-English Category Just 3 Days After Release!

According to Netflix Tudum’s TOP 10 website, the series logged 5,000,000 views within three days of release.

Season 2 of Netflix’s series 〈Bloodhounds〉, which premiered on Friday, was drawing nonstop attention amid strong acclaim. According to Netflix Tudum’s TOP 10 website on Wednesday, April 8, 〈Bloodhounds〉 Season 2 ranked No. 2 on the Global TOP 10 Series (Non-English) chart after reaching 5,000,000 viewing hours divided by the series’ total runtime within just three days. On top of that, it has not only held No. 1 on Netflix’s TOP 10 Series in South Korea since launch, but also climbed onto the TOP 10 lists in 67 countries worldwide, proving its fierce popularity.

〈Bloodhounds〉 Season 2 follows Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-i) as they take down a group of ruthless illegal loan sharks—igniting yet another satisfying straight shot against a global illegal boxing league run on money and violence. The dangerous proposition from Baek-jeong (Jung Ji-hoon), the operator of the global illegal boxing league, piqued Gun-woo and Woo-jin’s curiosity as they were enjoying the thrill of being boxing champions. And in the expanded universe, their brutal bouts deliver an exhilarating rush for viewers, earning a strong response from audiences at home and abroad.

Above all, the blazing performances by action masters Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-i, and Jung Ji-hoon made the three-year wait feel completely worth it. Woo Do-hwan, playing the grown-up boxing champion ‘Gun-woo,’ led the drama by precisely depicting his hardened inner self and complicated emotions while pulling off electrifying bare-knuckle action to perfection. Lee Sang-i delivered a convincing performance as ‘Woo-jin,’ the mental anchor and Gun-woo’s ever-lasting family, realistically capturing how Woo-jin has changed over time. Jung Ji-hoon’s acting transformation was also effective, as he brought ‘Baek-jeong’—the villain with overwhelming destructive power—to life. Baek-jeong’s presence—showing the merciless, brutal side of a villain on the opposite end of ‘Gun-woo and Woo-jin’—multiplied the dramatic tension.
