'Bloodhounds' Season 2 Woo Do-hwan X Lee Sang-yi VS Jung Ji-hoon, Character Stills Released!

The Netflix series 〈Bloodhounds〉 Season 2, which tells the story of Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) taking down the ruthless illegal loan shark gang and delivering another satisfying straight hook against the global illegal boxing league dominated by money and violence, has released character stills.  

First, Gun-woo's determined gaze, which has returned even more grown-up, captures attention. After successfully wiping out the illegal loan shark gang through fierce bloodshed, Gun-woo begins another fight against a new threat to protect his loved ones. With the 'Bloodhound' gaze equipped, he wraps his bandages and warms up his fists, exuding a sense of solemnity. Woo Do-hwan, who expressed his honor to be part of Season 2, stated, "Gun-woo's environment has changed compared to Season 1, and he is now running towards his champion dream with a slightly more relaxed mindset." He added, "Since three years have passed, I tried to show Gun-woo's growth both physically and mentally." 

On the other hand, Woo-jin, who has transitioned to being Gun-woo's boxing coach, is also intriguing. Having met Gun-woo as a rival in a boxing tournament and forged a friendship through tough battles, Woo-jin is now a strong supporter of Gun-woo outside the ring, accompanying him on his journey to become a champion. However, his unwavering gaze in front of enemies still hints at the boxer’s heart that lives and breathes within Woo-jin. Lee Sang-yi, who pointed out the changes in Woo-jin, said, "If Season 1's Woo-jin was like a mischievous child, in Season 2, you will see a more mature and reliable Woo-jin, who is united in his desire to protect his mother and Gun-woo, and his family." 

The presence of Baek Jung (Jung Ji-hoon), who will inject explosive tension as an antagonist to Gun-woo and Woo-jin, is also remarkable. He operates the global illegal boxing league, which runs on massive viewership and huge bets, solely for the purpose of money. His overwhelming visuals and a sly smile that seems to enjoy the situation suggest the ruthless nature of a villain with formidable attack power. Jung Ji-hoon, who is challenging the role of a villain for the first time since his debut, introduced Baek Jung as "a very cruel and heartless human weapon. He dreams of being a champion but ultimately fails to become one and reigns as the king of the underground illegal boxing league." He added, "I focused on the instincts that come from Baek Jung's inner self. I wanted to express a sensitivity and sharpness as if he is always holding a knife." 

Above all, there is great anticipation for the chemistry between Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, who captivated global fans with their perfect bro chemistry in Season 1, and Jung Ji-hoon, who joins as a new villain. Director Kim Joo-hwan stated, "The number of episodes filmed with actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi has exceeded 270. The two actors feel like family, brothers, and mentors to each other. This time, they showed an even deeper bromance. Their support for each other and their efforts to promote each other's growth were impressive." He continued about Baek Jung, saying, "If the character Myung-gil from Season 1 was the leader of the wolves, Baek Jung is a giant tiger. He hunts alone, is more ferocious than anyone, and is deadly." He expressed deep trust in Jung Ji-hoon, stating, "Jung Ji-hoon is an iconic actor for my generation. I believe there is no other actor who possesses such a massive aura, physicality that threatens Gun-woo, and action capabilities."
