The highly anticipated title 〈The Legend of a Cooked-Officer〉 has unveiled, for the first time, the cast’s script reading session.
The Tving Original 〈The Legend of a Cooked-Officer〉 is a military cook-show fantasy drama based on the same-name Naver webtoon. It follows the journey of Second Lieutenant Kang Seong-jae, who puts down firearms and picks up a kitchen knife—switching from ammunition belts to aprons—as he reinvents himself as a “legendary cook.” Park Ji-hoon, who recently made his mark among ten-million viewers with 〈The Man Who Lives With the King〉, takes on the role of Kang Seong-jae, drawing a great deal of attention.
The script reading session released on April 10 showcased an outstanding chemistry among the cast—including Park Ji-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho as Sergeant Park Jae-young, Lee Hong-nae as Sergeant Yoon Dong-hyun, and Han Dong-hee as Lieutenant Jo Yeo-rin—while Lee Sang-i, who joined as a special appearance as Captain Hwang Seok-ho, also made his presence felt.
In particular, since the script reading day was June 25, it was also reported that a moment of silence was held for the patriotic martyrs and those who served for the country. The production team of 〈The Legend of a Cooked-Officer〉 said, “As we watched each actor’s acting passion and their chemistry during the script reading, we’re confident our work will deliver good energy to the viewers who will be watching for sure,” and added, “Please look forward to the birth of a truly fun and upbeat military drama this first half of the year.”
〈The Legend of a Cooked-Officer〉 will have its first broadcast on Monday, May 11 at 8:00 p.m. You can watch it on Tving and tvN.
