Seventeen’s Vernon Meets Tony Leung… Set to Appear at the GV for ‘A Friend of Silence’ on the 19th

The film 〈A Friend of Silence〉 star Tony Leung and Seventeen member Vernon have met.

On the 14th, importer and distributor ANDAMIRO Co., Ltd. said that Vernon, who went to a theater to watch 〈A Friend of Silence〉, encountered Tony Leung, who was in Korea at the time. Vernon, known for being a longtime movie fan, is said to have held a conversation with Tony Leung about the film during the meeting.

Vernon will also attend the mega talk (GV) for 〈A Friend of Silence〉 as a guest. The event will be held at 2:00 PM on the 19th at Megabox COEX, and after the screening, he will share stories about the movie with the audience. Film journalist Min Yoon-jun will serve as host. Tickets for the GV can be purchased starting the morning of the 14th via the Megabox website and app.

Directed by Il Dico Enedi, and starring Tony Leung, Luna Badler, Enzo Brum, and Léa Seydoux, 〈A Friend of Silence〉 is a film that depicts how the lives of three people living in 1908, 1972, and 2020 become connected, centered on a ginkgo tree planted in a botanical garden at a German university. It was officially invited to the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, and it will open in Korea on the 15th.
