Actor Koo Kyo-hwan leads the story as an aspiring film director who has been dreaming of his debut for 20 years in JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 〈We Are All Trying Here〉.

In episodes 1 and 2 of 〈We Are All Trying Here〉 broadcast on the 18th, Koo Kyo-hwan appears as the protagonist 'Hwang Dong-man.' Dong-man supports himself by working as a creative writing academy instructor and doing part-time jobs while writing the screenplay 〈I'll Make the Weather for You〉.

The episode portrayed Dong-man's conflicts and inner anxiety as he remained stuck in the same place for 20 years amid cold stares from those around him. When CEO Choi (played by Choi Won-young) advised him to live a more practical life, Dong-man retorted, "Why should my life have to please you?" revealing his attitude toward his life. When his older brother Jin-man (played by Park Hae-joon) asked what he wanted, he answered, "I just don't want to feel anxious," expressing the character's inner unease.

Notably, he portrayed the psychology of a character with a void through scenes such as sitting alone on a bus, holding back tears at the after-party following the screening for acquaintance Kyung-se (played by Oh Jung-se), and returning home and binging on food to fill the 'hunger' displayed on his emotion watch.

At the end of episode 2, he went to CEO Choi's office and declared, "I will dredge up a shining truth from the very end of my worthlessness," and with the hint of a new development with Eun-ah, the episode left viewers anticipating future developments.

The JTBC series 〈We Are All Trying Here〉, starring Koo Kyo-hwan, airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
