Netflix unveiled the character poster and teaser trailer for its new original series 〈Wonderfuls〉, banking on an all-star pairing of Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo.

1999, the end of the century—“Nerds” of Haeseong City who somehow became heroes

〈Wonderfuls〉 is a superpowered comedic adventure set in the late days of 1999, when doomsday forces were on the rise. It follows neighborhood “nerds” who unexpectedly gain superpowers and throw themselves into the fight to protect the world against villains threatening peace.

The released character posters draw attention by presenting each hero in a “TEAM Wonderfuls” character-card format featuring their respective superpowers. From Eun-chae-ni (played by Park Eun-bin), who teleports while leaving afterimages, to Lee Woon-jung (played by Cha Eun-woo), who uses telekinesis with a powerful force, to Son Gyeong-hun (played by Choi Woo-hun), whose entire body turns sticky, and even Gang Ro-bin (played by Lim Seong-jae) with sheer strength—these members, where seriousness and awkwardness coexist, promise unpredictable team play.

Heroes who write a three-line acrostic?… A comedic ensemble guaranteed to spark laughter in the teaser

The teaser trailer begins with a warm, familiar scene of Cha Eun-woo peeling onions on the street—instantly bringing laughs. While Cha Eun-woo tries hard to pretend not to know the others, Park Eun-bin and the other members challenge him by writing a three-line acrostic using “superpowers,” showcasing a fun chemistry.

In particular, their chaotic attempts to adapt to sudden superpowers—from having their hand stuck to the refrigerator to accidentally blasting through a wall with a can they toss without thinking—consistently trigger nonstop laughter. On the other hand, Lee Woon-jung stopping incoming bullets with telekinesis promises a tense showdown with a massive force lurking behind them, heightening immersion.

Releasing May 15… A K-superpower comedy set to captivate the world

Set against a backdrop that evokes end-of-century vibes, the special adventure of these “nerds” 〈Wonderfuls〉 is armed with polished direction and witty lines. With Park Eun-bin’s lovable transformation and Cha Eun-woo’s fresh charm building anticipation, it’s set to deliver the funniest laughs this spring.

Netflix series 〈Wonderfuls〉 will be released simultaneously around the world exclusively on Netflix on Friday, May 15.
