The supporting cast’s lineup—who helped make 〈Wild Sing〉 shine even brighter—drew attention.
Movie 〈Wild Sing〉 portrays what happens when Hyun-woo (Kang Dong-won), Domi (Park Ji-hyeon), and Sang-gu (Eom Tae-gu)—members of Triangle, a group that swept the pop music scene right after debut—reunite after 20 years. 〈Wild Sing〉, which opens on June 3, met audiences through premiere screenings on May 30 and 31, and the supporting actors who delivered scene-stealing turns in the film also drew attention.

First, Kang Gi-young, who joined as a special cameo, plays Na Tae-pung and gets laughs. Once a presence-free member of the past group Mega-ton, he gets ignored by Hyun-woo, but 20 years later he reappears as a variety-show star who is far more successful than Hyun-woo himself, adding a teasing edge while completing a distinctive charm.

Meanwhile, Park Hae-mi plays Hyun-woo’s mother-in-law, a chaebol figure, and captivates viewers with her enduring charisma, sporting blonde hair and a red-lipstick makeup look. Also, Ko Sa-jang, a loan shark who invested in Sang-gu’s debut album but ends up with nothing but disappointment, is portrayed by actor Kim Ki-cheon. As if fulfilling a persona he earned from Director Son Jae-gon’s previous works, he adds laughter points and heightens tension, making 〈Wild Sing〉 even more abundant. Director Son Jae-gon’s new film, 〈Wild Sing〉, starring Kang Dong-won, Park Ji-hyeon, and Eom Tae-gu, meets audiences on June 3.
