Comedian “Lee Sang-jun” grabbed a single microphone and launched a bold debut meant to shake up the global comedy market.

On the 2nd, MBC C&I officially announced that it will begin in earnest a massive standup comedy tour, “Lee Sang-jun Show 45,” spanning 17 cities in South Korea and reaching 12 cities across four countries overseas.

The show is the essence of “classic standup comedy,” crafted strictly through the one microphone on stage and the exchange of breath with the audience. Its defining strength is an unpredictable flow that captures audience reactions in real time and turns them into instant laughter.

This tour is an “ultra-large project” that elevates the existing nationwide scale to a global level. After sweeping through 17 major domestic cities—including Chuncheon, Gwangju, Chungju, Gumi, Dangjin, and Incheon—it heads across the Pacific. From Los Angeles (LA), Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York, Dallas, and Chicago in the United States to Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, Tokyo in Japan, and Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne in Australia, the tour is set to leave global fans with a vivid aftertaste of “K-comedy.”

The performance of the previous works also shows how trustworthy this world tour will be. The nationwide tour, “Lee Sang-jun Show 44,” which wrapped up last year, drew a cumulative audience of 18,000 people and sparked an unusual box-office-style hit in South Korea’s tough comedy performance scene. This stage will also import that explosive energy intact, setting up a frenzy that is expected to top the previous run.

The project, designed to fuse the world through laughter, will be overseen by “MBC C&I” as the overall producer, and “Hwang In-hee,” the PD, will add a distinctive directorial touch to push the show’s production quality to its peak.
