The second decision for the full 13-member lineup — setting a new milestone for the K-pop industry

An unprecedented record has been written into the K-pop ecosystem. The 13-member boy group 'SEVENTEEN' has carried out a swift second contract renewal with its agency 'PLEDIS Entertainment', proving overwhelming unity that surpasses the so-called barriers faced by large-member groups.

According to the agency’s official announcement on the 13th, all members except those currently serving in the military have signed their names on the contract. Members fulfilling their military obligations are also expected to wrap up the contracts in sequence, aligned with their service conditions. In a K-pop market where departures are high, this is significant in that all 13 members have once again gathered with one mind.

'PLEDIS Entertainment' declared that it will spare no effort in providing comprehensive and systematic support, not only for 'SEVENTEEN''s full-group activities going forward, but also for sub-units and individual projects.

The members also showed steadfast trust in their massive fandom 'CARAT'. They said, "The belief that nothing is impossible when we're together with the members, and the intense desire to aim higher as a team—these bound the hearts of all 13 into one." They added, "We ask that fans also join the challenge toward eternity as part of 'TEAM SVT'" leaving a weighty message.

'SEVENTEEN', which took its first steps into the music scene in 2015, has held onto its spot at the top for 11 years with not a single member departure. Following the group’s first contract renewal in 2021, the successful second renewal this time is expected to be remembered not just as a contract extension, but as a 'meaningful precedent' that will not be erased from global K-pop history.
