HYBE’s global power move zeroes in on LA’s Grammy hub at the heart of pop

HYBE’s first global group ‘andTEAM’(&TEAM) is heading to Los Angeles (LA) in the United States, home to the world’s most iconic pop music scene. Its agency, ‘HYBE LABELS JAPAN’, said it will make an all-out appearance on the ‘Global Spin Live’ (Global Spin Live) stage at the Grammy Museum on Sept. 12 next month (local time). More than just an overseas concert, the move signals that a mainstream pop-market authority has officially recognized andTEAM’s global impact.

The Grammy Museum’s ‘Global Spin Live’ is a top-tier curated program that spotlights only artists with the clearest stand-out presence across the global music scene. On that stage, andTEAM will prove its commanding performances, while sitting down with well-known host ‘Emily Mei’(Emily Mei) to lay out in detail the musical evolution since debut—and a strategic blueprint for capturing the global market.

In December 2022, the nine-member boy group andTEAM burst onto the music scene with its debut album ‘First Howling : ME’—and from the start, it was different. As the first success story of ‘HYBE’ showing its overseas localization strategy by putting ‘BTS’ on top of the world’s biggest stage, every step of the group is becoming a new milestone for the K-pop industry.

After leaving major footprints day after day on the global stage, andTEAM’s next focus turns back to Korea. On Sept. 8, it will release its second Korean mini album, ‘Mark on Me’(Mark on Me), carrying the heat of its global fandom straight into the domestic market. The wider pop music world is watching closely to see what kind of destructive force their pop-country recognition will translate into with the new release.
