Ahead of its year-end release, Marvel Studios unveiled the first teaser poster and trailer for 〈Avengers: Doomsday〉, signaling the biggest battle yet. Walt Disney Company Korea, which handles the film's import and distribution, said on the 21st that 〈Avengers: Doomsday〉 will open in theaters in December 2026.
The teaser poster shows a mysterious figure in a deep green cloak standing alone before a massive mural inside a dark cathedral. The silhouetted figure, holding a mask in one hand, hints at the long-awaited reveal of the powerful villain Doctor Doom and deepens the intrigue.
The teaser trailer opens at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Accompanied by Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) resolute narration — "It's coming — something we can't stop" — the trailer presents Earth on the brink of its gravest crisis yet. As heroes from different worlds appear one after another, the trailer builds to the return of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), with the series' signature theme delivering a powerful jolt.
Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the directors who successfully steered the 〈Avengers〉 series, are back behind the camera, a move that has already fueled strong confidence in the project. In a striking turn, Robert Downey Jr., who led the MCU as Iron Man, transforms into the villain Doctor Doom, generating worldwide buzz. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Tom Hiddleston, Vanessa Kirby, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh and Paul Rudd are also on board, bringing together a sweeping lineup of past and present MCU mainstays.
Depicting the start of a new legend and the Avengers' reunion, 〈Avengers: Doomsday〉 is set to open in theaters nationwide in December 2026.
