KiiiKiii Named Gangnam District's First Promotional Ambassadors of Its 9th Elected Administration Before Aug. 10 Comeback

K-pop group KiiiKiii has been appointed the first promotional ambassadors of Seoul's Gangnam District under its ninth elected administration, Seoul's Gangnam District Office said on the 24th.

Seoul's Gangnam District Office on the 24th appointed the five-member Starship Entertainment group KiiiKiii — Ji-yu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum and Kiya — as the first promotional ambassadors of its ninth elected administration. KiiiKiii attended an appointment ceremony at the Gangnam District Office that day and will take part in a range of activities over the next two years, including appearances at major district events and the production of promotional content to promote the district's policies and showcase its cultural and tourism offerings.

Gangnam District Chief Kim Hyun-gi said, "KiiiKiii's bright and dynamic energy will add new vitality to district administration," and added, "We will work with KiiiKiii to further raise Gangnam's brand value as the center of K-pop and K-culture." KiiiKiii also said, "We are truly honored and deeply moved to be appointed ambassadors of Gangnam, the heart of Seoul and K-culture. We thank the officials at Gangnam District Office for this opportunity, and above all we believe we can undertake such meaningful activities thanks to TiiiKiii (our official fan club) and everyone who loves our music."

KiiiKiii added, "Through a range of activities going forward, we will communicate more closely with the public and do our utmost, with a sense of responsibility, to have a positive influence in the global market." Since their debut, KiiiKiii has built a following with its distinctive, trend-forward style. The group will release its new album 'WhyKiiiKiii' at 6 p.m. on Aug. 10 and begin its comeback promotions.
