First reactions from a preview screening
Director An Jaehoon's animated feature 〈Agami〉, based on Gu Byeongmo's novel 「Agami」, opens Sept. 9. The film tells the radiant story of Gon, the world's only child to grow gills after being thrown into deep water, and of the people who meant everything in his world. After attending a preview screening, Cineplay Editor-in-Chief Ju Seongcheol shared his review.

The will to live comes through powerfully in the boy who grows gills at death's door and in the people around him, all desperately searching for a place to breathe. Known for 〈The Dream of a Precious Day〉 and 〈Munyeodo〉, An Jaehoon uses lush light and color to create a beautiful, mysterious and cruel fairy tale that gently tends to loneliness and pain. Its images linger, filled with moments that beg to be remembered.
