Six-year relationship forged on ‘Memorist’ ends as couple go separate ways

Actors Yoo Seung-ho, 33, and Lim Se-joo, 35, have officially confirmed that they have “split” after dating for more than six years and will now go their separate ways.

Yoo Seung-ho’s agency said, “The two were previously in a relationship but have now broken up,” adding, “They have decided to remain ‘good colleagues’ who support each other’s futures.” Lim Se-joo’s agency, Moving Pictures Company, also confirmed the end of the relationship, saying, “It is true that they dated for about six years, but they recently broke up.”

The two first met while appearing together in the tvN drama ‘Memorist’, which aired in 2020. They developed feelings for each other while working on the show and later began dating, quietly nurturing their relationship. In recent months, however, they reportedly grew apart as each focused on their respective acting careers.

Yoo Seung-ho made his debut in the 2000 drama ‘Gasi Gogi’ and won widespread public affection for his role in the 2002 film ‘The Way Home’. He went on to lead a string of successful productions, including ‘The Legend’, ‘Master of Study’, ‘Warrior Baek Dong-soo’ and ‘Missing You’. More recently, he appeared in the SBS drama ‘Flex X Cop’, leaving a strong impression and once again demonstrating his enduring acting ability.

Lim Se-joo entered the entertainment industry in 2011 as a singer under the stage name ‘Haeora’. She began pursuing acting in earnest with the 2015 film ‘Salut d’Amour’ and has built a solid filmography through roles in a wide range of productions, including ‘My Only One’, ‘Zombie Detective’ and ‘A Killer Paradox’.
