New baby arrives eight months after marriage, with expectant father due to welcome child in February

Broadcaster 'Nam Chang-hee', 44, is set to become a father after announcing the arrival of his first child eight months after his marriage.

'TN Entertainment', his agency, said in an official statement on the 10th, "Nam Chang-hee's wife is currently pregnant and is focusing on prenatal care amid an outpouring of congratulations." According to the agency, she is now in the stable period of her '23rd week of pregnancy', with the baby due in 'February next year'.

Nam Chang-hee previously married his longtime non celebrity girlfriend in February. Congratulations have poured in from across the broadcasting industry and beyond following the news of the 'new life' arriving about eight months after their wedding.

The pregnancy news drew particular attention because Nam Chang-hee first shared it through his main channel of communication with the public. During the live broadcast of KBS Cool FM's 'Yoon Jung-soo and Nam Chang-hee's Mister Radio' on the 9th, he personally told listeners that his wife was pregnant and made no attempt to hide his overwhelming joy.

Nam Chang-hee made his debut on SBS' 'Happy Saturday' in 2000 and has remained popular for 24 years with his trademark easygoing and witty delivery. He has worked across television dramas, variety shows and radio as a DJ. Audiences are now looking forward to seeing the new chapter he will begin as the head of a household and an expectant father.
