NMIXX showcases powerhouse vocals, previews three tracks including ‘Birthday Wish’ on the 19th

Girl group NMIXX is building a range of emotions for its new release using only the voices of its six members, without instrumental accompaniment, fueling anticipation for its comeback. Ahead of the release of its sixth mini album, ‘Strange Muse,’ at 6 p.m. on the 19th, the group has previewed three tracks, including lead single ‘Birthday Wish,’ showcasing its vocal prowess.

NMIXX — Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin — released an a cappella highlight medley video through its official social media channels on the afternoon of the 11th. The members, dressed in all black to create a mysterious atmosphere, sang excerpts from three songs without instrumental accompaniment: lead single ‘Birthday Wish,’ the second track ‘Kerosene’ and the third track ‘RudE TaLK.’

JYP Entertainment said of the video, “By building harmonies over the chorus using only the voices of the six members, they perfectly demonstrated the exceptional vocal skills and well-earned confidence of a group made up entirely of all-rounders.”

The new release also includes the group’s first unit tracks created with direct participation from the members, adding to its significance beyond the three songs previewed in the highlight medley. The album’s six full-length tracks are set to be released, including ‘Sing to the Moon’ by Lily and Haewon, ‘Hot ’n Unbothered’ by Sullyoon and Bae, and ‘WHIP’ by Jiwoo and Kyujin.

NMIXX has established a distinctive position with ‘MIXX POP,’ its original genre that fuses two or more genres in a single song. The group’s sixth mini album, ‘Strange Muse,’ will be officially released through various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 19th.
