BTS wraps first solo concerts in Peru, demonstrating massive economic impact

'BTS' set South America ablaze and once again demonstrated its overwhelming global stature. Big Hit Music, the group's agency, said Tuesday that BTS held its 'ARIRANG' world tour at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru, on the 7th and from the 9th to the 10th, local time, drawing 'about 151,500' people over three days.

The shows marked BTS' first solo concerts in Peru since its debut. Responding to the explosive enthusiasm of local fans, the members said, "Your energy is truly incredible. It makes us wonder why we waited so long to come to Peru." Jimin, who celebrates his birthday on the 13th, moved the crowd with his words: "I will live with the fact that you have always sent us so much love from the other side of the world deeply etched in my heart."

BTS' visit provided more than a cultural event, injecting powerful momentum into Lima's broader economy. Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism estimates that more than '50,000' foreign tourists visited Lima for the concerts, generating an estimated '25.1 billion won' in tourism-related 'economic impact'. The figures vividly demonstrate the tremendous industrial ripple effect wielded by a global superstar.

After successfully completing its Peru dates, BTS will keep the momentum of its South American tour going. Beginning with Santiago, Chile, on the 14th and from the 16th to the 17th, the group will travel to major cities including Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, connecting with fans around the world.
