Disney+ has released character posters and a trailer for 〈Final Table〉, premiering Oct. 25 (Sunday), featuring the chefs’ backgrounds and their reasons for joining the culinary survival competition.

The character posters, designed to evoke a cooking magazine, capture the personalities and backstories of ‘Gang Han’ (Ahn Hyo-seop), ‘Choi Song-yi’ (Hong Hwa-yeon) and ‘Cha Woo-jin’ (Jang Ryul). The poster for ‘Gang Han,’ a gifted overseas-trained chef shrouded in mystery under the name ‘CHRIS. K,’ features the line, “Cooking is the only way I can show who I am,” highlighting his firm culinary philosophy and confidence. Another poster shows ‘Choi Song-yi,’ owner of the restaurant ‘Familia,’ alongside the line, “I can’t lose. There’s nowhere else for me to go.” It raises questions about her determination to protect the legacy of her father, who died in an unforeseen incident, and the story behind her decision to enter the culinary survival competition instead of seeking revenge. ‘Cha Woo-jin,’ head chef at the country’s top restaurant, ‘Exception,’ showcases the uncompromising perfectionist he is with the line, “Perfect food doesn’t happen by accident.” The three chefs, each driven by different goals and circumstances to enter The Table: K Chef 2026, are building anticipation for the dishes they will present and the battles they will fight in their own distinct ways.

The trailer also explores Gang Han’s past and the tangled relationships among the characters surrounding The Table: K Chef 2026. It shifts between scenes of a young Gang Han crying out inside a house engulfed in flames and his present-day self confronting those memories, fueling curiosity about the hidden past surrounding him. The trailer then reveals conflicts among those connected to the restaurant Familia and Gang Han, as well as the reasons he entered the culinary survival competition, adding to the tension. In particular, Cha Woo-jin’s aggressive treatment of Gang Han hints at a deep conflict and rivalry between the two, raising expectations for the series. Meanwhile, the trailer previews the story of chefs who go beyond dazzling culinary skills to prove their individual culinary worlds by putting their convictions and sincerity into their food. Gang Han continues preparing dishes without wavering despite pressure from those around him, accompanied by the line, “I make food that moves people’s hearts,” while Choi Song-yi empathizes with his cooking, saying she can feel the sincerity in it.

〈Final Table〉, featuring a fiery culinary survival competition among top chefs and the stories of its diverse cast, premieres Oct. 25 (Sunday) and will release new episodes every Sunday and Monday on Disney+.
