TWICE’s NAYEON Breaks 29-Month Silence With New Single ‘NA-sty,’ Out on the 20th

NAYEON of girl group TWICE will make a surprise release of her new solo single “NA-sty” on the 20th of next month. Her agency, JYP Entertainment, confirmed the comeback schedule through its official channels on the 26th. The new release is her first solo project in about 2 years and 5 months, following her second mini album, “NA”, released in June 2024.

A cheeky provocation reimagined in “NAYEON’s style”

The new single “NA-sty” carries the self-assertive meanings of “NAYEON’s style” and “being true to myself.” It also combines these ideas with the English word “nasty,” which has a playful, cheeky connotation, in a pun that hints at an original concept.

JYP Entertainment said, “This is a project that most honestly and freely showcases the many charms and confident attitude NAYEON has today,” adding, “She’ll retain the bright, lovely energy audiences adore while fully demonstrating the more daring, bolder side of the artist.”

NAYEON previously topped global music charts with her first solo song, “POP!”, and her follow-up release, “ABCD,” also won acclaim from both the public and critics for its commanding performance and creative vision. After returning from a long 2-year-and-5-month hiatus, she is expected to further cement her standing as a “global pop star” with “NA-sty.”
