〈Carol〉 〈Portrait of a Burning Woman〉 〈Monster〉 and other major works have newly added their names to the Queer Palm lineup, a distinguished line of LGBTQIA+ films that have been showcased at Cannes.
The Queer Palm Award is an LGBTQIA+ film prize that has been independently run during the Cannes Film Festival since 2010. It honors the best LGBTQIA+ film among the official selections and the competing films shown in the parallel sections, awarding one feature-length and one short each year.

Korean Film Archive Marks Hong Sang-soo Director’s Debut 30th Anniversary with Curated Exhibition “Hong Sang-soo: A Retrospective of All Works—Introduction”

From May 2 to June 13, the “KOFA Cinematheque” at Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul will screen all 34 films by director Hong Sang-soo. Featuring alternating chronological and reverse-chronological screenings from his debut works to his newest releases, viewers can experience the director’s signature “variations” aesthetics. Rich supporting events include a talk with the director of the Harvard Film Archive, a cinematography master class, and conversations with the audience.
