Plus M 'Face' and 'Project Y' Invited to the Toronto International Film Festival!

〈Face〉 is the new work of director Yeon Sang-ho, who directed 〈Train to Busan〉, 〈Hell〉, 〈Parasite: The Gray〉, and 〈Revelation〉. 〈Project Y〉 has garnered significant attention since its casting with Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo.

〈Face〉 and 〈Project Y〉 are heading to Toronto. Two new films invested and distributed by Plus M Entertainment have received invitations to the Toronto International Film Festival, making their international debut. 〈Face〉 and 〈Project Y〉 have been invited to the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, which opens on September 4. The invited section is Special Presentation. This is a major section of the Toronto International Film Festival that introduces new works by globally recognized directors and actors, selecting works that can be judged to have both artistic and commercial value. The Toronto International Film Festival, held on the largest scale in North America, is considered one of the four major film festivals in the world along with Cannes, Venice, and Berlin.

〈Face〉 Park Jung-min

The film 〈Face〉, which will make its global debut through the Toronto International Film Festival, is the new work of director Yeon Sang-ho. It is based on the mega hit 〈Train to Busan〉, which gained attention not only domestically but also globally, as well as 〈Hell〉, 〈Parasite: The Gray〉, and 〈Revelation〉, showcasing a unique worldview that transcends genres and formats. The main characters are Lim Young-kyu (Kwon Hae-yo) who has become a master craftsman in the field despite being blind, and his son Lim Dong-hwan (Park Jung-min), who unravels the mystery of his mother's death. Park Jung-min plays both the past and present roles of Lim Young-kyu, taking on a dual role, and the domestic release is confirmed for September.

〈Project Y〉 is a work that has garnered significant attention since its casting with Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo. The film depicts the story of Mi-sun (Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (Jeon Jong-seo), who had nothing but each other, as they steal hidden black money and gold bars to escape their harsh reality. The film intricately portrays the conflicts between intertwined characters, making it impossible to take your eyes off it throughout its runtime. This is the new work of director Lee Hwan, who gained attention for his bold themes and intense direction in films like 〈Park Hwa-young〉 and 〈Adults Don't Know〉, and it is set to prepare for a domestic release after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
