Kim Yeon-woo Marks 30 Years in Music With Christmas Concert ‘Oh My God Yeonwoo’

Three decades of singular vocal prowess set to shine on year-end stage

Singer Kim Yeon-woo will meet audiences with a special year-end show marking the 30th anniversary of his debut. His agency, Dio Music, announced that Kim will hold his year-end solo concert “Oh My God Yeonwoo” on Dec. 24 and 25 at Kyung Hee University’s Grand Peace Hall in Seoul’s Dongdaemun District.

The concert title, “Oh My God Yeonwoo,” combines the exclamation “Oh My God” with the artist’s name. The show has established itself as Kim’s signature winter concert, drawing enthusiastic responses from music fans and selling out year after year during the holiday season.

This year’s concert is especially significant as it marks Kim’s 30th debut anniversary. He first drew attention in the music industry after winning the gold prize at the seventh Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest in 1995. In 1996, he made his official debut in the Korean music industry as a guest vocalist on “The Fact That I Lived by Your Side for a While,” the title track from Toy’s second album. He has since delivered numerous classic songs, including “Still Beautiful,” “A Common Phrase Called ‘I Love You’” and “Farewell Taxi,” establishing himself as a “god of vocals” and one of the defining voices of Korean ballads.

The anniversary concert will feature a varied set list looking back on his musical journey. Along with emotive traditional ballads, Kim is expected to deliver a powerful live performance showcasing his wide-ranging musical spectrum across genres, including rock and dance, and leave a lasting impression on audiences.

“Kim will make the concert even more special with his ability to span genres from ballads to other styles and his unwavering live performance skills,” an agency representative said. The representative added that Kim hopes to create a meaningful Christmas with the fans who have shared his musical journey over the years.
