President Lee Jae-myung Appears on JTBC's 'Chef & My Fridge' Chuseok Special

President Lee Jae-myung will appear on JTBC's variety program 'Chef & My Fridge' on the 5th during the Chuseok holiday period, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, the presidential office announced on the 2nd. It is unusual for a sitting president to appear on a variety show, marking President Lee's first appearance in such a format since taking office.

'Chef & My Fridge' is a program where famous chefs in Korea compete in a cooking challenge using only the ingredients found in the client's refrigerator for 15 minutes. This broadcast will be produced under the theme 'Chuseok Special, K Chef & My Fridge'.

According to the presidential office, the presidential couple will take on the role of 'K-Food Evangelists' to introduce Korea's seasonal agricultural and marine products as well as traditional Chuseok dishes. They also plan to share their favorite Korean dishes and personal memories related to the harvest festival with the viewers, the presidential office reported.

A presidential office official stated, "We will showcase dishes that not only our citizens but also people around the world will enjoy," adding, "As it will be broadcast globally on Netflix, we can convey the new charm of K-Culture through food to a global audience."
