LE SSERAFIM (LE SSERAFIM: Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) will release their first single album ‘SPAGHETTI’ today (24th) at 1 PM.

This album includes the title track ‘SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)’ and the B-side track ‘Pearlies (My oyster is the world)’. The title track ‘SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)’ features members Sakura and Heo Yunjin participating in the song's creation, with BTS member j-hope contributing as a featured artist. The B-side track ‘Pearlies (My oyster is the world)’ is inspired by Heo Yunjin's thoughts shared during the world tour concert in Incheon, and it is a fan song expressing gratitude to the fans.

Q. Thoughts on the release of the first single ‘SPAGHETTI’

LE SSERAFIM: We are so excited and happy to be making a comeback after 7 months. We look forward to showing you another side of us. We hope that the cheerful charm of this single is well conveyed to many people, as we have worked hard to prepare it.

Q. Introduction to ‘SPAGHETTI’

LE SSERAFIM: There are times when you find yourself strangely drawn to food you dislike. You experience confusion about whether you like it or not, and gradually become addicted. This album expresses the interesting and addictive charm of LE SSERAFIM. Just like spaghetti that wraps around you, our charm is full of thoughts that you can't escape from. We hope for your love!

Q. First impressions when hearing the title track ‘SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)’

Sakura: I felt excited and happy. I love seeing LE SSERAFIM perform on stage with smiles. This song has bright moments, and both the lyrics and choreography are fun, so I thought it would be especially enjoyable to perform.

Kazuha: I felt it was very addictive. The guide track was already attractive. I promised myself to do a lot of research to fully embrace this feeling.

Hong Eunchae: The rough voice in the introduction was new and memorable. The chorus is very exciting, and I thought we could show various charms, so I liked it as soon as I heard it.

Q. Highlights of the title track's audio and performance

Kim Chaewon: It's a catchy song that you can hum along to after just one listen. Lyrics like “Just eat it up” and “SSERAFIM stuck in your head” add to the listening experience. I would appreciate it if you could focus on these parts.

Kazuha: This time, all the members can show a new visual side, so I think fans will really like it. I hope you pay attention to the various expressions we show in the performance.

Q. Special considerations while preparing the single

Sakura: I was very happy to participate in the creation of the title track. The part I focused on the most was the meaning of the lyrics. I thought that conveying a clear message within an exciting melody is the essence of LE SSERAFIM, so I thought hard about what to say.

Heo Yunjin: I had a lot of fun working on it. The title track was inspired by the day we ranked first on music shows during the promotions for our last mini album’s title track ‘HOT’. I thought, “Just like food stuck between teeth, we must have entered the minds of the public,” and started working based on that. The B-side track ‘Pearlies (My Oyster is the world)’ is a song filled with feelings I want to convey to our fans, FEARNOT. Please listen closely to the lyrics.

Q. Memorable conversations with featured artist j-hope

Kim Chaewon: Thankfully, I had the opportunity to talk with him, and he said, “The song is so good that I wanted to be a part of it,” and “I will support you,” which motivated us even more.

Sakura: I still can't forget the chills I felt when I first heard his recording version. He was really amazing, and I thought I would be grateful for life because it made the song shine even more.

Heo Yunjin: Last year, I was honored to participate in his album, and this time he participated in our song, which was very meaningful and I am grateful. He truly became the ‘kick’ of this song.

Kazuha: I listened to his recording version with the members, and it was so cool that I remember the moment we all liked it. I am filled with gratitude for him being the ‘kick’ of this title track.

Hong Eunchae: It was a great honor just to be able to work with a respected senior. Especially, he mentioned several times how good this song is, which gave me great confidence and strength during the preparation process. Thank you once again.

Q. Memorable recording behind-the-scenes

Sakura: During the first recording, the producer praised us for capturing the chorus feel well. It was such a fun song that I remember laughing throughout the recording.

Hong Eunchae: I tried hard to capture the flavor of the witty lyrics like ‘SPAGHETTI stuck between teeth’.

Q. Moments or situations that are good for listening to the title track

Heo Yunjin: The lyric “Eat it up” is close to the meaning of ‘tear it apart’. So, when you need to do something cool, it would be great to boost your confidence by saying “eat it up”.

Kazuha: It's such an exciting song that I personally recommend listening to it while exercising! We also listened to this song together while doing planks to warm up before our dance practice.

Q. What currently captivates LE SSERAFIM

Kim Chaewon: FEARNOT! We are always thinking about how to approach our fans with a new and powerful concept ahead of our comeback.

Sakura: Exercise. While practicing the choreography for this title track, we had a group workout for the first time in a while, and I personally found joy in exercising. I have been consistently working out, including running, since the world tour!

Heo Yunjin: I bleached my eyebrows for this concept, and I really like it. These days, I am captivated by this styling.

Kazuha: I am currently obsessed with egg drop soup! I can't stop thinking about it.

Hong Eunchae: Americano. I am so into it that it’s the first thing I think of every morning.

Q. Desired reactions to the new release

LE SSERAFIM: I hope to hear reactions like, ‘As expected of LE SSERAFIM. It’s LE SSERAFIM but new.’ We wanted to surprise our fans with a different side, so we tried many new things and worked hard to prepare. The songs and performances are still very much LE SSERAFIM, but I hope you notice the growth and changes within that.

Q. A message to FEARNOT who have been waiting for the new album

LE SSERAFIM: FEARNOT! Today, our hard work on ‘SPAGHETTI’ is finally coming out. Thanks to you, FEARNOT, being our driving force, it seems we have produced a wonderful single. I hope this new release makes you stand taller and fills you with ‘PIMBUSHIM’. We will work hard and have fun so that FEARNOT can enjoy it, so please look forward to this activity.
