The movie 〈The Divine Band〉 has confirmed its release in December and has unveiled character stills of the unique ‘Scene Stealers Quartet’ Tae Hang-ho, Jang Ji-geon, Han Jeong-wan, and Moon Kyung-min, who will complete the unpredictable ‘fake praise group’ alongside Park Si-hoo and Jung Jin-woon. 〈The Divine Band〉 is a work that depicts the unexpected journey of a ‘fake praise group’ created to earn foreign currency for North Korea. With a tense confrontation between Park Si-hoo (Park Kyo-soon) and Jung Jin-woon (Kim Dae-wi) foreshadowed, the delightful events and deep drama that the four characters, who become members of the ‘fake band’ entangled in their operation, will unfold are highly anticipated.

First, Tae Hang-ho, who has established himself as a ‘premium scene stealer’ crossing between movies and dramas, takes on the role of the band’s conductor ‘Kim Seong-cheol’. Following his recent work in the drama ‘Dog Bark’ and continuing with ‘Mary Kills People’, he portrays a perfectionist from Pyongyang University of the Arts, showcasing realistic leadership. In the released stills, Tae Hang-ho is seen holding a baton with a satisfied smile towards the members, raising expectations for the unique team chemistry of the ‘fake band’ he leads.

Jang Ji-geon, who made a strong impression on audiences with his ‘Pikachu’ tattoo on his shoulder in the film ‘Friend 2’, plays the drummer ‘Wang Gil-jo’. He has shown his unique acting in films like ‘Jangsari: Forgotten Heroes’ and ‘Hot Blooded Priest 2’, and transforms into a character who feels rhythm instinctively, as expressed in his line, “Music is not played with the head. It’s about the heart.” In the released stills, Jang Ji-geon is captured with his eyes closed, immersed in drumming, revealing both a tough and pure charm simultaneously.

The role of the ‘slacker genius’ guitarist ‘Lee Man-soo’ in the ‘fake band’ is played by Han Jeong-wan, a model who ranked first in ‘Mr. International Korea’ and gained attention as a TOP 7 contestant on tvN’s variety show ‘Handsome Trot’. He began his acting career with the web drama ‘Each One’s Circumstances’ and adds youthful vitality to the film through the free-spirited character of Lee Man-soo. In the stills, he is seen gazing somewhere while holding a guitar, with his deep gaze revealing a heartfelt passion hidden behind his playful appearance.

Moon Kyung-min, who showcased a strong presence as the head of the Disaster Management Agency in the blockbuster ‘Haeundae’ and as the prison warden in ‘Harmony’, takes on the role of the guitarist ‘Oh Cheol-ho’. As the saying goes, “He plays chords with emotions,” he is a romantic artist who communicates with the world through music rather than words. In the released stills, he is captured with a desperate expression looking at the sheet music, and his unique deep emotional line is expected to add a profound aftertaste to the work. Thus, with Tae Hang-ho, Jang Ji-geon, Han Jeong-wan, and Moon Kyung-min, the unique chemistry of the ‘fake band’ created by these strong-willed actors is set to deliver both laughter and emotion. Although they come together with different stories, their journey towards the same stage promises a delightful drama that starts as fake but is completed with sincerity.
