Singer G-Dragon candidly revealed his feelings during the drug use allegations that surfaced two years ago, stating that he even considered retirement.

On the 5th, G-Dragon appeared on MBC's current affairs program 〈Questions from Son Seok-hee〉 and expressed the difficulties he faced at that time, saying, "A year before the release of 'Power', I was involved in an unexpected incident." He shared, "I felt frustrated because there was no place to express my personal opinions or feelings, and despite being a victim, the situation grew increasingly out of control, leaving me feeling empty and desolate."

G-Dragon successfully returned to the music industry after seven years with the release of his new song 'Power' in November last year. In 2023, a year before his comeback, he was investigated by the police for violating drug management laws but was ultimately cleared of charges.

G-Dragon confessed that he felt extreme frustration at the time and seriously contemplated retirement. He explained that he poured the experiences and emotions from that difficult period into his new song 'Power'.

G-Dragon stated, "I didn't even want to hold a press conference to express my position," adding, "I constantly questioned, 'Is it really the right choice for me to make a comeback?' I could have retired from the entertainment industry and lived as an ordinary person, but there was no reason to do that."

He emphasized, "'Power' is a humorous satire on the media," stating, "The best I could do during that tough time was to express myself through music."

Having debuted in 2006 with the group Big Bang, G-Dragon is approaching his 20th anniversary next year and continues to deeply contemplate the next ten years.

G-Dragon mentioned, "If I'm going to do something, I want to do it well, but I always think about how many times the public's evaluation aligns with my choices and their outcomes," adding, "I believe I am getting closer to some answers now."

Regarding Big Bang's activities, he shared, "As I approach my 20th anniversary, I naturally start to look ahead to the 30th anniversary."

Currently on his world tour 'Ubermensch', G-Dragon will perform in Hanoi, Vietnam from the 8th to the 9th, and then conclude the tour at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from the 12th to the 14th of next month.
