Hong Kong Mystery Novelist Chan Ho-kei's Original Work 'The Invisible Man: The Faceless Killers' to be Released in December!

A network mystery thriller where a cold-blooded private detective and a client uncover the unjust death of the detective's brother while chasing an internet killer, based on the novel of the same name by master mystery novelist Chan Ho-kei.

The movie 〈The Invisible Man: The Faceless Killers〉 based on the novel of the same name by Hong Kong mystery novelist Chan Ho-kei has announced its release in December, unveiling the main poster and the main trailer.

〈The Invisible Man: The Faceless Killers〉 is a network mystery thriller where a cold-blooded private detective and a client uncover the unjust death of the detective's brother while chasing an internet killer, drawing attention as it is based on the novel of the same name by master mystery novelist Chan Ho-kei.

 

The released main poster features the phrase “Find the killer in the network!” along with the tense expression of the cold-blooded private detective ‘Joon-kyung’ and her sister ‘So-eun’ who is tracking the truth about her brother's unjust death due to malicious rumors. The role of the genius hacker private detective ‘Joon-kyung’ is played by Kim Min-kyu, who left a strong impression on viewers with his unique character in the dramas [Sacred Idol] and [Business Proposal]. The role of the sister ‘So-eun’, who risks everything to uncover the last truth about her brother Ji-eun, is portrayed by the late Kang Seo-ha, adding meaningful significance as it captures her final appearance, known for her immersive performances in dramas [Nobody Knows] and [Again, My Love].

 

The released main trailer opens with ‘So-eun’ (Kang Seo-ha) seeking out the genius hacker and private detective ‘Joon-kyung’ (Kim Min-kyu) to uncover her brother's unjust death. Joon-kyung tracks the IP of the perpetrator who spread malicious rumors and investigates the records left behind, such as Ji-eun's phone and letters, narrowing down the suspects to friends who attended the funeral, convinced that the perpetrator is close by. So-eun is shocked by the words of her brother's school friends, “Nowadays, everyone knows how to spread rumors on the internet.” In anguish over her brother's painful time that she learned about too late, Joon-kyung tells So-eun, “I will gladly become the knife of that time,” and begins to dig into the case. The two wonder if they can find the cleverly hidden perpetrator in the network, amplifying curiosity. Additionally, the appearances of promising newcomers such as Sung Hee-hyun as ‘Ha-yeon’, a classmate of Ji-eun suspected of being the perpetrator, and Park Dong-hyuk as ‘Eun-ho’, who showcase excellent acting skills, also build anticipation for a work where the ending cannot be predicted until the end. The film 〈The Invisible Man: The Faceless Killers〉 is set to be released this December, promising a rebirth of a masterpiece mystery novel.
