
The epic drama 〈Munmu〉 has announced its glamorous cast.
Produced by KBS 2TV, 〈Munmu〉 tells the story of the small nation Silla uniting the three Han after overcoming the great powers Goguryeo, Baekje, and Tang, focusing on King Munmu who established Unified Silla. According to the cast announced on November 17, Lee Hyun-wook will play King Munmu Kim Beop-min.
The actor who will share the screen with Lee Hyun-wook is none other than Jang Hyuk. Jang Hyuk will portray Yeon Gaesomun of Goguryeo in this drama. Based on the character description of walking the path of a dictator, he is expected to showcase a strong charisma. Following him, Kim Chun-chu, the first king from the true bone lineage of Silla and father of Kim Beop-min, will be played by Kim Kang-woo, while General Kim Yu-sin, who led Silla, will be portrayed by Park Sung-woong.
Additionally, Jung Woong-in will play the realist Kim Jin-joo of Silla, and Jo Sung-ha will portray the war hero Go Geon-mu of Goguryeo. Directed by PD Kim Young-jo, who directed 〈Jingbirok〉, production has commenced with the goal of airing next year.
