Disney+’s original series 〈Made in Korea〉 has confirmed its release on December 24 and unveiled the trailer for ‘Businessman’. As the first OTT challenge for actors Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung, and director Woo Min-ho, the high-end series 〈Made in Korea〉 is set to conclude 2025 with its release on December 24, along with the trailer for ‘Businessman’. 〈Made in Korea〉 tells the story of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a man who aims to rise to the peak of wealth and power by turning the nation into a profit model, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), who relentlessly pursues him with a terrifying obsession, as they confront monumental events that penetrate the era.

First, Hyun Bin, who has established himself as a representative actor of South Korea, takes on the role of Baek Ki-tae, a man who ignites endless ambition for wealth and power by turning the nation into a business model, showcasing a powerful acting transformation with a new face never seen before. Additionally, actor Jung Woo-sung, who dominates the screen with his broad acting skills, plays prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who digs into the case with a near-mad obsession, expressing a multifaceted character that hides tenacity behind a hearty laugh. The role of Baek Ki-tae’s brother, Baek Ki-hyun, a military officer, will be played by Woo Do-hwan, who has faithfully built his own acting world, and he is expected to deeply portray the complex inner emotions and desires for success. Furthermore, the casting lineup, featuring top actors such as Jo Yeo-jeong, Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, Kang Gil-woo, Noh Jae-won, Lily Franky, and Park Yong-woo, boasts solid acting skills and diverse charms, promising explosive synergy and perfect immersion.

Moreover, the collaboration between director Woo Min-ho, who has shown unparalleled insight into modern Korean history through works like 〈The Man in the Mountains〉, 〈The Internals〉, and 〈The Chief of Namsan〉, and the production company Hive Media Corp, which proved its excellent production capabilities with 〈Seoul’s Spring〉, raises expectations for 〈Made in Korea〉. Notably, this work marks Woo Min-ho’s first OTT series direction, and the heavy directorial power showcased in his films will be fully realized. With solid storytelling and overwhelming mise-en-scène, the series is expected to provide a cinematic experience where six episodes will soon become six films.

The released trailer for ‘Businessman’ immediately captures attention with the appearance of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), who wears a meaningful smile in a tense atmosphere. Following this, characters with serious expressions, including Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung) and Baek Ki-hyun (Woo Do-hwan), appear one after another, raising expectations for the unpredictable story that will unfold as characters consumed by desire become entangled. As the atmosphere intensifies, the line “I’m just a businessman” is followed by a powerful action scene of Baek Ki-tae on an airplane, stimulating curiosity about his business world and foreshadowing the grand narrative of a character who risks everything to reach the peak of wealth and power.
