The Korean independent film 〈Don't Go Back〉 has unveiled its main poster and main trailer, marking the end of this year. The film has garnered significant attention by being invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, the 50th Seoul Independent Film Festival, and Namdo Film Festival Season 2, with some screenings sold out, raising expectations even higher.
The newly released main poster visually captures the emotional temperature of winter's loneliness and excitement, drawing attention.
In particular, scenes from the film unfolding in the mind of the protagonist, Ryu Hyun-kyung, are arranged like layers, symbolically expressing the film's sentiment where reality and imagination, or truth and acting, intertwine.
The poster hints at the complex emotions of the two characters with just one confession, sparking curiosity among the audience about what kind of conclusion their winter will flow towards.
The released main trailer becomes even more special when you know the story behind the film's creation.
In fact, 〈Don't Go Back〉 is a work that originated from a real event where actor Kim Chung-gil confessed to Ryu Hyun-kyung the day after the wrap party of director Kim Oki's feature film 〈One Two Three Love〉. It stimulates the audience's curiosity by showing Ryu Hyun-kyung's moments of laughter that blur the line between reality and acting.
This winter, 〈Don't Go Back〉 is expected to be a work that shows the true temperature of the heart starting from the moment someone speaks up, and it will be available in theaters from December 17.
