Scarlett Johansson to Perform Exorcism... Appearing in New Exorcist Movie

Will we be able to see Scarlett Johansson perform an exorcism? According to the media outlet 'Deadline', Scarlett Johansson will appear in the newly produced 〈Exorcist〉 movie.

This 〈Exorcist〉 is a 50th anniversary commemorative work of the existing 'Exorcist' series and a new film that shares the universe of the reboot 〈Exorcist: Believer〉. While it only shares the universe, this film is structured as a separate story, and like its predecessor, it will be produced by Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster. Additionally, director Mike Flanagan, who directed 〈Ouija: Origin of Evil〉 and 〈Doctor Sleep〉, will be in charge of the screenplay and direction.

Although it has not been revealed what role Scarlett Johansson will play in this film, it seems she will deliver a powerful performance as she has chosen the new 〈Exorcist〉 as her first horror film in her career.

In the past, the new 〈Exorcist〉 was reported to be released in 2026, but as the project has started somewhat late, the release schedule is also expected to be delayed.
