Jung Se-ho Resigns from 'You Quiz' and '1 Night 2 Days'

Broadcaster Jung Se-ho has voluntarily resigned from tvN's 〈You Quiz on the Block〉 (hereafter 〈You Quiz〉) and KBS 2TV's 〈1 Night 2 Days〉 Season 4. Despite strongly denying various allegations, including the so-called 'gangster involvement rumor', he decided to step down to avoid burdening the viewers and the production team.

His agency A2Z Entertainment announced on the 9th through an official statement, "Jung Se-ho will be stepping down from tvN's 〈You Quiz on the Block〉 and KBS 2TV's 〈1 Night 2 Days〉." They further explained, "He feels a deep sense of responsibility for the misunderstandings and rumors raised against him, and after discussing with the production team, he decided to resign to acknowledge the discomfort felt by the viewers who love the program."

A2Z stated that the claims made online regarding Jung Se-ho's collusion with organized crime and bribery are "completely false." They also warned, "We will take swift and strong legal action against any matters that are proven to be distorted or false."

The production team of 〈1 Night 2 Days〉 Season 4 also released a separate statement, respecting the decision made after careful consideration by the cast and the agency, and officially confirmed Jung Se-ho's departure. They stated that the already recorded episodes will air as scheduled, but Jung Se-ho will not participate in future recordings.

The production team of 〈You Quiz〉 is also reportedly discussing the direction of future appearances and editing. While there is interest in whether the existing episodes featuring Jung Se-ho will be edited, it has been reported that there are no plans to alter the already aired content.

Jung Se-ho expressed his intention to "eliminate all doubts raised currently and return after restoring his tarnished image." As he steps down from the two representative entertainment programs he has been with for a long time, the industry and viewers are focused on the direction of the controversy and the timing of his return.
