The allegations of illegal medical practices involving broadcaster Park Na-rae's 'Injection Aunt' have been transferred from the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office to the police, unifying all cases related to Park Na-rae under police investigation.
According to comprehensive coverage on the 16th, the Food and Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office received the case on the 12th, in which former Korean Medical Association President Lim Hyun-taek reported the so-called 'Injection Aunt' for violations of medical law. Former President Lim submitted a complaint through the National Complaint Center, alleging that the individual illegally obtained medical supplies and committed unlicensed medical practices.
Former President Lim also filed an additional complaint against Park Na-rae and an unidentified 'Drip Aunt' regarding allegations that Park Na-rae received medical services from a different individual known as 'Drip Aunt.' This case was also assigned to the Food and Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office the day before.
The Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office is a specialized institution that investigates various medical-related cases as a key prosecutor's office for food and drug crimes. It is known that former President Lim chose to file the complaint with the Western District Prosecutor's Office considering this characteristic.
However, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office stated that it transferred the case to the police, considering that related investigations were already underway at the police. As a result, all cases related to Park Na-rae have been unified under the police investigation system.
The police announced at a press conference the day before that the case in which Park Na-rae was sued by her former managers is being investigated by the Gangnam Police Station, while the case filed by Park Na-rae is being investigated by the Yongsan Police Station. With this decision to transfer the case to the prosecution, the allegations of illegal medical practices have also been included in the police investigation network.
Park Na-rae has completely suspended her broadcasting activities as the controversy, which began with allegations of abuse by her former managers on the 4th, has expanded into allegations of illegal medical practices. Currently, the cases related to Park Na-rae are being investigated by the police, divided into several branches including allegations of manager abuse, claims of monetary demands, and allegations of illegal medical services.
