Kathleen Kennedy is leaving Lucasfilm, famous for 〈Star Wars〉.

According to a report by 'Screen Rant' on January 6 (local time), Kathleen Kennedy, who served as the head of Lucasfilm, is leaving the company. Her position will be jointly led by 〈Star Wars〉 Creative Officer (CCO) Dave Filoni and Business General Manager Lynwen Brennan.

Known as a producer for films like 〈E.T.〉, 〈Jurassic Park〉, 〈Twister〉, and 〈The Sixth Sense〉, Kathleen Kennedy is recognized as a significant producer in Hollywood, ranking second in all-time box office rankings among producers. However, the 〈Star Wars〉 sequel series and spin-offs she prepared after joining Lucasfilm did not achieve great success, leading to much criticism from fans. In particular, after the conclusion of the sequel trilogy, it became evident that she led the series without a roadmap for the trilogy, which drew criticism.
