Ahead of their full group return, BTS has revealed the meaning of their new logo.
On January 16, BTS's agency announced through the fan platform Weverse that the title of their 5th studio album, set to be released on March 20, is 'ARIRANG'. Until now, BTS's new release was known only by a logo consisting of three magenta circles. With the album title finally revealed, the meaning of the logo has also become clear.
'ARIRANG' is a title that encompasses BTS's identity and the emotions they wish to share with their music fans. Big Hit Music stated, "As BTS prepares for their long-awaited comeback, they naturally focused on the roots and starting point of the team, as well as their inner stories," adding, "The new release is expected to resonate widely with people around the world by addressing universal emotions of longing and deep love." They also added, "'ARIRANG' symbolically represents BTS's identity and the sentiment of the new release."
After releasing 'ARIRANG' on March 20, BTS will embark on a new world tour starting on April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex. The tour will take place in a record-breaking 34 cities with 79 performances, introducing a 360-degree stage to enhance the immersion of the shows.
